Speaking of which, what is the thickness that says "time for a change"?

In mm (millimeters) if possible..  do you need a caliper to measure

Good stuff, after cleaning the car up my first mechanical focus is going
to be checking the entire braking system.

Is scotchbrite similar to SOS pads?
