BTW,

We pretty much know for a fact that global temperatures were higher in the
Carboniferous period than they are today- AND may have been warmer 1000
years ago. So this "warmest decade on record" looks more and more like a
sampling artifact. 

For the record, I am a "yellow dog" Democrat.
