battery drain

Amanda ---Had the same problem a few years back.  It was a bad ignition
switch.  When I thought it was off--it really wasn't.  If I remember
correctly, to test for it I took  the positive cable from the battery off..
Then put a test lamp between battery positive  to battery cable just removed.
Do this with the ignition turned off.   If the lamp lights --you have a drain
or flow of battery power --could be a short anyplace.  I then wiggled the
ignition key --and low and behold the test lamp went out.   PLEASE BE SURE
YOUR B IS IN NEUTRAL AND DON"T TURN THE KEY SO FAR AS TO ENGAGE THE
STARTER....DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU RUN INTO A WALL, CAR, OR BYSTANDER.  It's a
pretty easy replacement.  Can't remember the cost and to lazy right now to
look it up, but it was under $100.....GOOD LUCK           JerryG
