Ok all, having returned from "back home" (and my
wedding) I'm prepared to flare the fenders on my
'B. All things considered (the V-8 project, autocrossing,
and the fact that my mum autocrosses a 280ZX), I
want to go with Z-car wheels and nice fat rubber.
We've got a lot of nice aluminum Z wheels about,
and none of them fit under my car. I've picked up
numerous sets of high quality Z car wheels (american
racing and BBS) for next to nothing out of junkyards.
I need three sets of wheels, street, autox, and snow
(the in-laws live in Park City). Think of the cost
of three sets of Minilites! Ouch!
I've also got a set of magnesium revolutions that
won't fit a 'B without flaring. (BTW, anyone have
some advice on "how to care for magnesium wheels"?)
So here's the typical questions...anyone on the list(s)
flared their 'B? What's out there on the market? On
the one hand I like the GTS/Sebring look, but they
look like they'd take a *lot* of rubber to fill them
up, and I think that not filling a wheel well is
a sin!
