Keith, I think that Trevor and Jim covered this topic but I thought I
would put in my $.02 worth.

At the MGB V8 convention (which you missed 'cause you decided to go
and get married, really a poor excuse) there was a guy with the
Sebring flares.  I have to agree with you they require BIG tires.
Probably bigger than you would want to run.  Plus the flare is beyond
subtle, a bit more than I would like.

Jim's baseball bat flare technique has been done for years by the
Street Rod / Hot Rod enthusiasts'.  It works great.

About a year ago there was a B on the cover of British Car Magazine.
I liked the way they looked.  It was a California car, if you want
more info on this car let me know and I'll look for the issue.
