Here in NYC,  I don't really have a need for it during the colder months. 
My winter garage is several miles from my house (which can be as much as a
half hour away on city streets) and I cannot forsee any reason I would want
to drive all the way to the garage just to tool around for a few hours
before dark.  At least during the summer my neighbor is kind enough to let
me use his driveway (secured,  just in case some insurance fellow reads
this ;).  I think the car needs better protection for the winter months,
and that's not within reasonable hassle of getting it.
