Hello Nina,

That was a _great_ idea, it should give us a starting point, at least.
My
idea wasn't to usurp anyone else's list, just to provide fellow listers
with a source of help, in whatever fashion that we could provide. We are
miles off the beaten track, in the Hill Country of Texas, but would be
prepared to travel in say a 200 mile radius, or thereabouts, to provide
necessary help. We'd even be prepared to offer a night's lodging, or
meals, or ..........well, whatever the situation requires at the time.

We need to help each other out in times of tribulation, not just pay lip
service to it. We have cars, we have parts, but we wouldn't like to think
that someone was stuck, just because they couldn't get a local source of
technical 'know-how' or a particular part, especially whilst in transit.

We all try to help each other out on the list, but that is in our own
home
environment. This is about when we rove a little further afield, and
requires a little more than sitting at our computer screens. Most people
seem to travel long distances at holiday times, what better times to offer
our help? I am not suggesting that those participating should be taken
advantage of, especially if help really is a lot closer, but where help is
REALLY needed, we should try to render it, don't you think?

If we really are 'enthusiasts', then we want to help fellow enthusiasts
in
time of trouble.

        Please keep me posted.
