Hi Karl,

I had funny things with my horns too.
While the horns were not operated for years, I tried them after lots of work
on the electrics. I lend the battery from my wifes Galant, so I was sure to
have enough power.

First a low ping came from both horns.
Later they did better still and now they operate well. I just kept pushing
the horn button.

In your case I think the operating rod from the central horn button was a
bit stuck and by this remaining the contact.

Solution:
Clean all - maybe apply some carbon graphite powder to lubricate and most of
all: operate the horns regularly - this to keep Prince Lucas awake!
