Whenever MGs have bad grounds somewhere in the system, really strange
combinations of electrical happenings can occur. Perhaps the oddest I ever
saw was on a late B with the factory-fitted electric fans.

The complaint from the customer was that the turn signals would not work
properly. Both warning lights would glow (when either side signal was
activated) but neither signal would flash. Also, the headlamp high beam
flasher did not work. When looking under the hood, checking the fuse box
connections, I suddenly noticed that the fans would turn backwards when the
high-beam flasher was activated! This was a completely reproducible problem
which went away only when we found the cause of all that set of problems was
the fact that the ground wire on the right front inner fender was not making
a clean connection!
