"I've got to fill the float reservoirs in my SU's but I don't remember what
exact fluid must be used. I don't have my maintenance books with me here at
work and I'd like to get them filled before I attempt to drive it home."

Huh, Michael, huh, how long, I mean, how long after you wrote this
response, did it take you to realize you had goofed? We would all like to
 know! ;.p
Where had Michael goofed? According to Bentley in "The Complete
Official MGB 1962-1974" page 131 Fig D.10 The Oil damper reservoir
is where the oil goes. Mine just looks like I put oil in the float chamber
(#20 page 132) but it actually petrol (gas) that is supposed to go there.
