Speedo cable rerouting...

Howdy.  The angle drive on the back of the speedo seized up on me a while 
back, destroying my brand new cable.  So, I want to remove it and route the 
cable straight through the firewall.  No problem, but does anyone have any 
good ideas on how to determine where to drill the hole?  The firewall is 
double walled here, right?  And I sure won't be able to get my drill into 
the speedo hole.
