So, Niel, how do you get off havin a filtered side cover on your A? Every
A I've ever seen ('ceptin some wid oddball engines) has only a plain side
cover wid a vent pipe and no filter. Didja pinch one off a midget er such?

you can't put your feet on the ground in my garage! .... I can't do the new
carpets until the 'box is back in the car of course as I need the cover in
place etc etc! ....I was actually sitting IN my A, but on the garage floor
this morning. Figure that out! lol!

I figure if you can't put yer feet on the floor but ya sit on it you musta
used too much solvent while cleaning the engine bay. Must be at least one
clean spot on yer floor after the sitz mark.

BTW, why don't you go ahead and finish the interior? If you do it right
you can still easily remove the center carpet section and small tunnel
cover to R&R the gearbox. I do it all the time. >8( I just wrote a long
dissertation for someone on carpet installation in the A. I could send it
along or post it somewhere if you like. No pictures though, sorry. I'm
waiting for someone else to follow the instructions and take the pictures
for me.
