For all of Neil's excellent excuses, I added this one:
"I know I don't 'need' it, but I am declaring my official midlife crisis
emergency at this moment, and buying this car is my way of handling it."
That was on car number 2.
Car number 3 was using money my father left me when he died, so the car was
to preserve his memory. Didn't make that one up--poor guy had no hobbies
outside of listening to my mother complain. May be why I persue my hobby
with such enthusiasm.
