This is just a short little note describing a part replacement.
Last weekend, I removed the bonnet latch and all of the
associated bits, and cleaned them up on the wire wheel and
repainted everything. Last evening, the paint had cured to the
point where I could safely reassemble the parts. As I completed
the reinstallation of the latch, I remembered that I have bought
a new bonnet release cable for the '79 B and hadn't installed it --
so it got used on the '70 B-GT! The replacement was really quite
easy (much easier than I anticipated) and not only works well
but also the new shiny metal cable looks GREAT against the new
engine bay paint!
That's it. I just thought that you might enjoy a tiny little
success story today.
