at one time the convertibles were real valuable so everybody chopped to tops
off cars to make convertibles, now the split windows are the money so
everyone is adding them to regular cars. There was never a factory
designation in vin between styles and the parts are all being remanufactured
so they can be converted. In short, people are making fake split window
cars out of the convertibles, because of value.
