You mean siamesed.  And we were talking about twin-throat Webers - MGs use 
only one (unless they have a special head), not 2 carbs like your BMW. That 
means that each throat on your Bimmer feeds 400 cc while each one on the MGB 
feeds 900 cc......(although not all at once;-)

I wasn't offended in the least - it is just that the less information you 
give about an engine, the less you can expect back. The problem is that you 
already say you have the basic text which tells you what venturi size to 
start with - beyond that, you aren't going to get any information from an MG 
forum that will help you, unless we have a lurking BMW specialist (odder 
things have happened).

No, that's the whole point. You won't get any useful information asking MG 
members. Try a BMW group - they might have some specific application data 
that might be of use to you. You might as well have asked what heat range of 
spark plugs the guys with MGs use - it would have about as much application 
to a BMW as any carb info would.

Not really - they are a pain in the ass to set up! I offered that not as 
bragging, but as an indication that I was speaking from a position of some 
experience. Many people (on this list and others) have been known to offer 
advice that is not based on any personal experience, and is correspondingly 
of little utility.

We aren't. It isn't a competition.
At least whatever you have the DCNFs on (what - Fiats?) are better served 
than the beleaugured MGs with DGVs on them!
