Andrew,

What color is your top frame?  Normally the "scissors" frame is a gray frame 
(unless someone painted it).  That frame is fine and you can also get a zip 
down rear window top for that frame - Not sure if Caribou has it that way but 
other companies do have them.  If it were me I would only get a stayfast or 
mohair top as they are much easier to put up and down and don't shrink like 
vinyl does.  I have a mohair top on order for my MGB and just fought with the 
existing vinyl to put it back up after being stowed for all summer.  Took two 
of us to get it snapped down ;)
