Lawrie,
  They may be those cheap Jap plugs....the NGKs I put into my TD did
require a smaller wrench.  Now you will be asking "what size", and I
don't recall. It's larger than the size of the plugs for my chainsaw but
smaller than the wrench for the current version of L10S Champion.
