Not to mention that you could spend a loooong time looking for a C, while Bs
are, well, the most common sports car out there, not to put too fine a point
on it. 

As for the magazine question, British Car is reorganizing, so nobody really
knows what it will be like in the future. Your best strategy may be to
contact a local club (as Neil suggested) and attend an event. If you contact
one of the officers in advance, they will probably be glad to bring examples
of literature, and you can discuss the cars with their owners. One event
would probably give you more real down-to-earth info than you could get from
a dozen magazines, or from all but the best books. And, as he said, you
might get some seat time.
