Another wire breakage event will be to have the wires supported properly
without mechanical stress. The wires at the starter and the alternator will
suffer mostly as the engine always will vibrate. Also the thick wires are
mounted there.
Look how flexible the ground strap is (MGB at the left front side of the
engine most times)
you'll never see wires break problems there.
