I finished completely disassembling my MG last year and did not find a
single nylock in the whole car.  Every thing is fastened with a bolt, flat
washer, lock washer and a nut.  I don't think Abingdon ever used anything as
advanced as a nylock fastener.  You may have come across post factory handy
work.
