I had this problem once, on my 71BGT, shortly after it was purchased. I
think the engine was warm and I removed the engine coolant drain plug.
Nothing came out so I stuck a Phillips screw driver in the hole and had
to force it into the muck and then by turning it I managed to get a
trickle of coolant and eventually it all came out. It hasn't plugged
since (engine is now in my 72B) but then I drain the antifreeze on a
regular basis. In retrospect, maybe a flathead screwdriver of the proper
width might have worked better but you get the idea. It was fairly hard
muck so it doesn't surprise me that the flush would not work.
