Hey Gang -

In reference to Will's problem with a violent shimmy in his car, I would
recommend that he check the age of his tires...With some reproductions or
certainly the original ones on the car, the rubber will get hard, even though
the tread is still good...I had this problem with the original Dunlops on my
car, and it was like driving a child's red wagon with steel wheels! (They
were 15 years old, however)...I had even had them trued on the car without
success...I purchased some new red-line TR6 type and haven't had any trouble
since...

In reference to the radio in the car, when I ordered mine from the factory in
1971, I asked the routine question, "What kinds of radios do you have
available?", and got the reply back much like was already said, to wit, "Mr.
Morgan feels that a true sports car driver should listen to the music of the
engine, and not that of a radio, and so we do not offer one in our cars." As
I was properly told (off), I have never put one in it!

As a matter of fact, even the inside rear-view mirror wasn't a standard part
of the car, but was an aftermarket suction-cap device, which I really like
even more, because you can put it anywhere...

By the way, have there been any other additions or updates to the member
listings from a couple of months ago?
