A number of years ago I found a wrinkle finish black paint (for the dash in
my '63 Plus Four) at a local auto parts store and was very happy with the
results. I don't remember the brand name but it might be worth calling a
couple of your local stores to see what you can find.
It just looks like an ordinary can of spray paint and when you start to
spray your skepticism will definitely kick into high gear, but if you
follow the instructions as per the can it does seem to work fine.
