Most of the time we have found any flats we get are do to poor workmanship
on the tire mounting by tire workers that don't know what they are doing
when working with tubes in tires. Many of the tire workers at your typical
tire shop have never even seen a tube in a tire or a real wire wheel! At a
local tire store near us, we have seen two sets of tires mounted on dunlop
wire wheels without any tubes inside the tires at all! And these were not
wheels that had been modified to go tubless.
