Get wider wheels- offset is to the outside- wider rim makes for less 
ballooning of the tyre and clearance increases- on my +4 it went from 1/8" to 
almost 1/2" with 1/2 wider rims- got 'em from British Wire Wheel- great 
service? They did my trike wheels too- one of the few firms that said "No 
Problem..."

Other solution is the spacers from Greg Solow. Ysed them with my 60 spoke 
wheels- worked fine albeit a bit harder to park- once rolling- no problem. 
Then do the Gemmer box...
