I am running a 3.07 gears in my 54 with a 235 and a 57 3 speed.  The over all 
drive is great with this high gearing, but it will strain a little with a 
load.  The top speeds are good for passing Mr. sports car.  They look at you 
as though they are seeing a ghost.  It also helps when your body is in need 
of a resto.
