Kathy,
Congratulations on your truck choice. My suppliers of choice over the
years have been Chevy Duty 816-741-8029 (or chevyduty.com) and Jim
Carters 816-833-1913. I haven't done business w/ Obsolete Chevy parts
and Golden State gets real mixed reviews with this group.
        I would stick w/ the yellow pine since it is original and cheaper.
Depending where you live your friendly wrecking yard may be a good
source for decent used body parts. Patch panels are available from the
vendors if you have access to a mig welder. This list is a good source
for parts also. We've been known to swap a few parts around between us
and I've never heard of anyone ripping someone off.  Good luck with your 
project.
