Between the ole trucks list and the NAPCO list. . .and my brother and an
unhelpful co-worker. . .and that darn Open Road magazine article on the 57
GMC Suburban, it has finally occurred to me that my 59 parts Suburban really
shouldn't be scavenged for parts and discarded. I've actually had it quite a
while but don't normally mention it on my list of vehicles. Guess I'm
officially a two truck crazy now; here I thought that you guys weren't
corrupting me too much. My neighbors will love it. . .NOT!

It's an original Hydramatic truck with the odd ball rear end ratio but
missing the engine, second/third seats, and front end sheet metal. Someone
hacked the rear quarter panels, but otherwise it's there. Frame and
suspension are excellent.

I'll have to decide how to do it as compared to my Chevy Suburban. Neither
are NAPCO at the moment, but I figure that at least one of them should be. .
.I've been trying to learn as much as I could about the NAPCO drivetrain in
the meantime. We definitely shouldn't cannabalize my brother's 57 NAPCO
pickup for a transplant--too good itself--so I'll have to come up with the
h/w elsewhere.

My wife asked that I please finish the current projects (it really is a long
list) before I start any new ones though, so I guess I'll try. . .

The vette's currently hovering off all fours in the garage; guess that 's the
one for tonight!
