I am thinking (real dangerous) that I will put a steel backup plate approx.
16 x 16 on the inside of the firewall to distribute the wieght and possibly
where the tray thru bolts put some sort of kicker bracket to someplace under
the dash.

This thing with where/how to put the battery has had me stumped since i
started this project and i'm now at the point that I have to do something.
I don't want it under the floor board and I besides i already used that
space for my trans. cooler.

Next resort is to put the battery in the bed and use a bungee cord strap and
throw a towel over it with a few crushed beer cans lying around to
camouflage it. Of course the beer cans will be easy to come by but the
bungee cord.... :)

Hi Greg,

When you put this on your firewall, could you send me
a pic or two of how you did it. I'm looking at doing
the same thing but am curious as to how to reenforce
the firewall for the weight of the battery...

Thanks,
