Hi all - Dave here with Dusty's '50 GMC 1/2 Ton.
I want to pull off the steering wheel and refinish it, and see two small
tapped holes on either side of the retaining nut in the center. I assume
these are for a threaded puller to remove the wheel - is there anything else
I need to know before pulling this off? Are there any other things holding
it on the shaft?
I've threaded in two coarse bolts and am using a small puller with
in-curved arms that grip the underside of those bolt heads, while the puller
bears down on the steering column shaft. I've got it pretty tight but it has
not budged. Maybe tap the backside of the steering wheel?

Any insights here from people who have done this?
