im sure everyone on the list will tell you there stories about the R4 but i
like them despite having had a few probs with one. i still thikn if built
right they will handle anything. i have one in my 4000# panel and drive it
hard-no probs. just keep it cool and change your fluid and it should last a
long time.
as far as rear goes, i would use a camaro/transam/nova/skylark (10 bolt
8.5"ring gear) rear axle with a 3.42 or close ratio depending on tires. mine
are 255/60-15 and it runs me under 2000 @ 60 mph....
