Hey Bob,

Couldn't Agree More. I Think The Duramax Is Just Prone To Stay Problematic
For A Long Time. Besides, Is It A Gas - Diesel Conversion? Gas To Diesel
Conversions Have A Major Problem, Cavitation. If You Don't Dump A Chemical
In, The Knocking From The Diesel Will Corrode Your Cylinder Walls, And
Destroy The Waterjackets. As You Can Guess, :( You Have A Crack In The
Block! A Guy Up The Street Where I Live Has A 1980's Chevrolet 6.2 Liter
Diesel With That Very Problem. He Was Ranting About Cooling Problems. Then I
Learned About Cavitation. Only $1,000 And It Is Very Far Gone :) He's Trying
To Sell It As A Turbo Diesel, (With A Banks System Installed) I Think It Is
Worth About $25, Because Of The New Engine It Will Need :) Powerstrokes Have
The Cavitation Problem. I Believe Cummins Suffer A Little From That Problem,
But I'm Not Sure. The Cummins Is A True Diesel Though, Not A Conversion.
