I actually worked for a guy that was solicited by Chrysler in the 60's to
"consumer" test one of those.  He said it hard to keep the passenger
compartment cool & the whine was a bit much, but once you got it running
really "HOT", the thing would almost run on water!  RPMs peaked at something
like 125,000 (don't be anywhere near when one of those blades lets loose!).
