Rob,

Basically the horn circuit will take a relay.  The horn button supplies 
the ground to close the set of points inside the relay.  When the 
points close current flows to the horn to make it sound.

If you would like, I can draw you up the wiring schematic for wiring in 
a 30 Amp Bosch Relay.
