[oletrucks] Bracing

Can anyone tell me how he got rid of the X brace under his hood?

Can you just beef up the hood around the edges or do you just take the 
bracing out and hope the hood doesn't flex on you? LOL .. It just looks all 
that much cleaner without it. Thanks.
