| I almost always remove/install the engine with the head OFF. Couple of advantages: 1 - less weight, easier to move the engine about to mate the engine/gearbox 2 - I don't have to remove the bonnet/hood. 3 - When replacing the head, I find easier to re-torque the head properly than with the engine sliding around the garage floor gerry |
