Can you wedge a bottle jack between a chassis member and something bolted to
the head.  The idea is to use the jack to slowly press upward on the head
but not to lift the car.  I've heard this method used recently to subtly
press out a panel to allow a wider tire to fit without rubbing.  Seems it
should provide considerable lifting pressure if the head isn't held on by a
mystery stud someplace.
