I had a similar problem once. A brand new Die Hard kept dying. Three
batteries later I found that the bolt going into the side post terminal was
a hair too long. Even though it was tight (in the threads) it was not making
good enough contact to charge the battery! Check your clamps for two things:
1) Make sure that they are clean... and 2) make sure that there is good
contact through a tight connection.
