All, I appreciate all the answers and thoughts. I spoke with the owner today
for a bit and he has gone through a Hemmings and saw the range from 3-18 grand.
I mentioned that I saw an ad Sunday for a running Bugeye in the Dallas Auto
Trader for $3,200 to let him know what I was thinking without being rude or
unkind. I looked again, the spring boxes are good but the footwell floors are
not. I was able to raise the bonnet a wee bit by removing the front marker (I
can't believe that is all that holds them on!!). Bad news, non foulers on all
the plugs, the cap on the brake reservoir is locked in place. I also found a
bottle of Dot 3 wedged between the tranny tunnel and the drivers seat. I have
not mentioned these items yet, I will wait 'til the dickering
begins...............
