Sorry Gerard, the 78 and I believe the 77 have the idiot light instead of
the combo gauge. You can find a combo gauge at many swap meets, but make
sure the temp gauge part works. And they are expensive. You can get new from
England for about $65. And the font on the gauge is not the same as the
gauges installed from the factory.
As for the pressure, the engine idles normally, hot, at around 25 - 30.
Higher if renewed.
