I have some questions for all of you SU experts out there.
What is the purpose of the crossover tube on the dual SU manifold as used on
our Sprites and Midgets? Some call it a "balance" tube. Balance what?
The tube is so long it would be impossible for the front or rear pair of
cylinders to be able to draw fuel from both carbs. Vizard says the back
edge of the hole for the crossover tube is the single greatest hindrance to
proper flow through the SU manifold and recommends increasing the radius of
the hole. What happens if I plug the tube to make the ports flow better?
