Probably $20 to get it cleaned??? ( I may be living in the past with that WAG )
versus $96 to $166 US plus shipping and duty, taxes, etc for a new Spridget one
from Moss.

What does the average Joe spend on an engine rebuild? $3500 -> $5000 ??? I
think mine is about $4000 cdn so far ( More than I paid for the car, which I
knew had a failing motor. ), but I don't want to add it up to verify. I don't
have unlimited funds and while I have an oil cooler in my Midget, that came to
me with the car, I don't plan to buy a new one, but I will probably get it
flushed out this winter while getting my rad done. I'm overbudget. :)

I might add that it was probably an oil cooler hose that failed which caused
the engine to fail, in the first place, from what I could gather from the PO.

So, yes, a new cooler would be yet another small percentage increase in the
cost of the rebuild/install and it would be up to the individual to weigh the
risks and assess his/her finances and decide their path.

While we're on the subject of oil coolers, I often see oil cooler installations
where there are some nice supports for the hoses that mount on the inner
fender. Where does one get those?
