Not thinking of the metal particles which are large enough to be stopped/held
by the fiter material, Crash.

Thinking of the smaller metallic particulates
which can't be stopped "cause they're small enough to "pass through", but which
now sit in the oil "trapped" in the filter, thanks to the modern filter's
anti-drainback feature. Seems a shame not to take advantage of this feature, in
ALL respects.

You know, the micronic swarf that gets by the filter, now held in suspension
within the oil held in the filter will get dumped into the fresh oil Daniel
just paid for on the next start-up. Same type of swarf which got through the
filter last time around and which he just got through cleaning off his magnetic
drain plug.

And you know....
....this particular small quantity of oil contained within the filter will
probably be the MOST swarfage-contaminated small quantity of oil this new motor
will ever see? Until it reaches the end of it's service life, normally.

Oh, well....not my motor and one can only
"suggest" in terms of another's. His money, his motor, so his decision.
