My physics background dealing with compressible fluids tells me you are not
only moving the fluid, you are compressing it too at least some degree. With
a mildly incompressible fluid (hydraulic fluid) there is still some
compression taking place. As to flow considerations, constrict the flow
(narrower tube) and logically to assume you get more pressure and
movement??
