Welcome home again to you...
Great seeing you up there, and all along the way.
You are right, some may not appreciate all that goes in to an event, =
especially like this one.
But the point to be well taken is regarding the "" CONCOURSE "" as it =
was advertised on the web page with the wonderful judging form as well, =
many of us spent countless hours and tons of $$$$$$$$$$$ to meet the =
criteria set forth, and as Norm said, the powerful few, had this form =
pulled less than a week prior to the event...This was unfair indeed, not =
Norm's fault at all.
I certainly do not go to a United for the auto-cross, who would, fun but =
let's put it in prospective, Tiger auto restorers out there: do they =
advertise that we will restore your car so wonderfully that you can auto =
cross it???
Next year, lets do 2 hours of auto cross, or maybe 2 1/2 and let's =
spend 7 or 8 hours on the ""CONCOURSE "" or a day and a half is even =
better....
SOUNDS GREAT....Let's move in to the 21st Century in style.....
Or rather to take it to a """SHOW"""??? I think the latter, I had a =
super duper time, especially since I went on the caravan.
I just believe that we have to get more serious re: the ""CONCOURSE"" =
the only time we have the opportunity to show off our hard work is once =
a year amongst our peers, and we need to stick by our guns, and not =
change just to please one or two people, but rather the masses..
David, I think you taking some people's comments as a personal attack, =
(this is how you come across anyway), is wrong, responses for the most =
part have been positive I think, but the " Show and Shine " was an =
outrage, as reported by at least=20
27 people at last count.....
Yours and Ian's and Rosmary's attendance and participation was superb, I =
only wish I could have been there on Thursday, but the graduation for my =
daughter had to come first...
I am thrilled to hear that you are going to Niagra Falls, I will try to =
go as well.

cheerful respray of my car,
Flight to USA for myself, rosemary smith and Ian hall, travel to L.A., =

accommodation , travel to Port Ventura, Pick up cars ,
Back to L.A. , three nights accommodation, share a bed with Norman=20
Miller,(god! Did I really do that?) drive to Eureka,=20
Share more bed space with Norman!, raise $850 contribution from my club =
for=20
the event, raise over $2000 more at the auction, put on three slide =
shows ,=20
insult poor Peter Mac Donald who comes to my room with a bottle of =
Scotch by=20
saying I'm to busy because there are a million slides on the bedroom =
floor (=20
sorry Peter!) M C the event, TAC the tiger, pay $30, listen to stupid=20
comments re my car "it's an Alpine!-it's a mk11 because it's got an oil=20
cooler!" Listen to personal insults "why is he the M C- he's not even =

Finally , fly back in August and repeat the exercise by driving to =

Falls ,then ship the cars back to the UK via Baltimore
