I recently pulled my tanks(about 1 hour), chucked some big ol' chains =
and water into the tanks and sloshed them around for awhile, poured some =
of Eastwoods tank cleaning solution into the tanks with the chains, =
sloshed them around for awhile(about 1 hour), and then coated the tanks =
with Eastwoods tank sealer. Let the tanks dry for a couple of days, =
reinstalled and haven't had any trouble. I did drain the tanks =
previously by disconnecting at the union under the car and also ran a =
grounding wire from the chassis to ground(terra firma)...just because I =
am a coward.

Hullo out there.

The lining of my tanks has finally decided to let go completely...I have
black paint flakes floating in the tank, plugging the filters. There =
are a
lot of products listed in Hemmings to clean and pickle or reline
tanks...anyone with first hand experience doing the deed? I have =
limited
facilities...an open carport, for example...so need to find the fastest,
simplest way to remove the flakes and reline the tanks...I have new old
stock rubber connectors for the cross connect between fender tanks...and
will check them over thorougly for age cracks before installing. =
Lessons
learned please?
