For thos diagnosing their stop light switches, the key has to be in the "ON"
position for it to work.  I hate to state what may be obvious, but it wasn't
so obvious to ME until I checked the wiring diagram.

I also figured out the hard way that the right taillight won't work if the
license plate light is disconnected.  And you can also get some funky front
turn signal responses if they aren't grounded very well.
