Tom,
The purpose for most primers is to provide adhesion for the topcoat. The
reason that we make a colored primer is to minimize the visibility of
topcoat chipping when it inevitably occurs,

Has anyone used POR 15 on the underside of their cars
(without top coating)?
I am curious if you have noticed any UV damage in areas
where "the sun don't
shine." I find it rather strange that though they sell POR
15 in a number of
colors for the most part they seem to recommend "their"
primer and topcoat.
If that is the case whats the point of multiple colors of
the product. The
Eastwood product is only one color and as such to get the
desire black color
needs to be topcoated (adding time and cost). IF the POR 15
is not effected
by the amount of UV rays reflected under the car then the
one application
process seems to be the way to go. Thanks to all and any who
