Although I haven't bought spray cans of hammertone since it was used on
ham radio cabinets, I have some source information.
I was told that the "Super WalMart" stores have them, some Home Depot
stores, and there is a http://www.housemart.com/ that seems to have a
Premium Rust-Oleum "Hammered" Metal Finish spray can, product 7213830
(their SKU 407573) which might be the right one. Need to see the cap to
be more sure it has the "mottled" finish in a gray. It also comes in
other colors, but the gray is the one you want. Lots of stores should
carry Rust-Oleum selections. This particular color seems to be intended
for trailer hitches, so you might try 4 WD supply places.
